Celebrating 80 years since imperial Japan surrendered, which effectively brought the Second World War to an end. Members of the community came together to remember those who fought in the war.

During the Easter weekend, New Mills Town Council ran an Easter hunt over the two weeks. Participants were tasked with finding and drawing Easter-themed images scattered across the park. Once the sheet was complete, a sweet reward awaited them back at the cafe.

The first week of May marked Hedgehog Awareness Week. Amongst some adorable displays, information was scattered around the hall about how we, as a community, could help our prickly friends. The hall is hosting a guess the hedgehog’s name challenge. Enter for just £1 for the chance to win a locally made hedgehog-themed clock.
